How to keep your gay travel agent happy
The gay travel company Quiktickets has seen its membership hit a new low this week, and it’s probably not for the first time.
Quikticket recently launched a new “gay travel agent” program, but the problem with it is the same as any gay travel business: it’s not really for gay people.
While Quikts new gay travel program was aimed at “transgender travelers,” Quik’s CEO said in an interview that it was only for straight people.
“It’s not for straight travelers,” he told Business Insider.
“We’ve had a lot of complaints about the company over the last year, and we’ve had people who’ve been very upset.
It’s not a business that I want to promote.”
In other words, if you want to make money off of gay travelers, Quik is not for you.
“We have a great community of gay people, but we don’t think it’s the best thing to do,” Quiks CEO, Michael Duszynski, told Business Insiders.
“The way it is right now, we’re just not able to do that.”
Duszynski said Quik has a “tough process” in place to get the gay travelers they serve happy, but they are always welcome to try their hand at it.
“If it’s a real customer that’s actually looking for a gay travel experience, I’d love to have them sign up,” he said.
“But we have a process where we have to make sure that if someone is really into the company, and wants to be a part of the community, they get to participate.
If they don’t want to be part of that, then they have to stop using our service.”
He continued: “It doesn’t matter what they’re doing, they’re not allowed to come.
And then we’ll work with them and figure out how to work with the other travelers and make sure they feel like they’re getting value for money.”
So, if the Gay Travel Industry doesn’t want you, who do?
“There’s a lot more of us in the gay travel industry than we realize,” Duskers son, Joe Dusks, told the Daily Dot.
“When I’m at my office and I have to get a lot on my mind, I’ll go to a gay hotel, but I won’t go to QuikTicket.
They’ve got some really great people that work there.”
The Quik Tickets gay travel service is available for people of all sexualities.
The company claims to have a 100% LGBT-friendly environment, with staff and customers from all backgrounds.
“You have people who are looking for an adventure,” Quirks CEO told the website.
“You have some people who want to meet people, and some people want to get married.”
But Duszys family isn’t on board with that, either.
“I’ve been trying to get my son on the Quik tour, and I don’t have the funds,” he added.
“My son is a very young adult.
He’s just now starting to go on the gay tour, so I’m kind of struggling.
And I’m not happy with the quality of the service.”
So why would anyone want to come to Quiktickets?
According to Duskiys son, QuiKtickets is a place that’s geared towards “straight travelers” and it is, in the end, “just another travel agency for gay travelers.”
“It can be really fun and really easy to get into, and you can really enjoy the company and get paid,” Dussys son said.
If you’re looking to make some extra cash, Quiztickets offers a variety of discounts, including a 30% discount for gay couples.
And if you’re not into gay travel, Quivk offers a 50% discount on all gay-themed travel.
But if you do want to do some gay-friendly travel, you’ll probably have to put up with some awkwardness and wait until you’re in a major city to get your passport stamped.
“I’m not sure how many times I’ve been stopped at the airport,” Quigtickets owner, Matthew, told BI.
“People would just look at me and go, ‘What are you doing here?’
And then the first thing they would ask me is, ‘Do you really want to go?’
And I’d just be like, ‘Nah, I’m here for Quik.'”
And if you are, you’re out of luck.
According to the QuizTickets website, the company does not accept money from the government.
And even if you manage to get an authentic passport stamped, the process is actually pretty complicated.
You have to go to an immigration agent, get a fingerprint and submit a photo to the FBI.
But the QuiTickets Gay Travel Agency says that is an “easy process.”
“You’re going to have to fill
