Military travel agency plans to open in California
Military travel agencies are getting more aggressive about competing with traditional travel companies.
The Beaumont-based AirBnb and Orlando-based Orbitz are both launching in California this week.
Beaumon is the first U.S. company to open a branch in California.
The two new companies will be located in Southern California.
Orbitz has already opened two locations in San Francisco.
Both are scheduled to open their first locations this month.
AirBnb will open in Los Angeles and San Diego, the company said in a statement.
The California branch will be the company’s first branch outside of North America.
Orbitos location will be in Orange County, the same county as Beaumons new branch.
Both companies are launching their services in Los Angles and San Francisco, where they are already available, and they’re looking to expand to San Diego.
The companies have previously opened branches in Austin, San Diego and Santa Barbara.
